In September 2009 CTN's Board of Trustees met with the Board of Trustees at
Islington Training Network & ratified plans to merge the two organisations into the
London Training & Employment Network. The move is in recognition of the decreasing relevance of borough level infrastructure for training providers with the move towards larger sub-regional & regional commissioning for services. The market for VCS training provision is changing rapidly; the networks need to change too. The new organisation will be operational from April 2010 & until that time both CTN & ITN will continue to function seperately while located at ITN's offices in Highbury Corner.
As part of the merger plan, CTN will co-locate with ITN from December 7th. CTN will immediately enjoy the associated economies of scale that come from co-location & reduction of overheads. The move will not change any of CTN's current work plans or contractual obligations & CTN will retain its Camden focus. CTN's new address is:
